I was born in 1976 in Kronberg im Taunus, where I also grew up and went to school. After completing my high school education, I began taking on my first jobs for film productions during my college studies through friends. I initially worked as a runner, PA, and was also involved in catering.

In 1999, I started an internship at NEUE SENTIMENTAL FILM in Frankfurt, which led to a position in video technology and editing.

From the year 2000, I worked as a freelance unit manager, gaining extensive experience on the production side. During this time, it became clear which department I want to belong to in film business.

In 2001, I completed another internship at Pille Film Equipment Rental in Wiesbaden. After the internship, I worked for two years as a clapper loader, primarily on 16mm and 35mm film, and worked in film, advertising, and music video sectors.

From 2004 to 2014, I established myself as a focus puller in various segments, from car advertisements across Europe, feature films and 2nd unit camera operations. Despite my passion for 35mm film, I made the transition to digital formats relatively early.

As a focus puller, I also began to undertake initial projects as a cinematographer. Since 2015, I have been working as a cinematographer/DoP, mainly in the fields of advertising, corporate films, and music videos. In the summer of 2023, I shot my first feature film as a DoP in Berlin and Frankfurt.

My career has allowed me to travel the world and discover numerous countries and places from Chile to Japan, from South Africa to Iceland, from California to Saudi Arabia. It is always enriching to work with local crews, whether in Ecuador, Bangladesh, Italy, or Scotland.

Over the years, I have accumulated a vast array of equipment and extensive experience in using gimbals and remote heads. Additionally, I hold an A2 drone license.
